Need Official Warrant Information?
Most warrant questions in St. Mary's County follow one of four routes:
- Whether a warrant exists: the clerk of the court that holds the case is the office that confirms it. The Circuit Clerk covers Circuit dockets, and the District Court clerk covers traffic, misdemeanor, and other District cases
- A bench warrant from a missed court date: the judge who issued it controls the recall, so start with the court that set the case
- A charge filed after a police investigation: a District Court commissioner reviews the charging application, the issuing court sets the charge and the bond, and the Sheriff's Office serves the process
- Resolving or clearing a warrant: a licensed Maryland attorney and the issuing court handle a recall, a voluntary appearance, or bond
